Any change or cancellation to your reservation can be requested through our Call Center by calling 01 (800) 849 8001 at least 12 hours before the reservation.
Reservations that have not been previously paid will have a 2 hour tolerance period to pick up the car. After the given time, the reservation will be subject to availability releasing Alamo from any responsibility.
Prepaid reservations will have a 6 hour tolerance period to pick up the car. After the given time, the reservation will be subject to availability. In case of being cancelled, the corresponding penalization percentages will be applied.**
With online prepayment through www.alamo.com.mx or our Call Center, the name of the client that appears on the reservation will have to coincide with the credit card holder, official ID and valid driver’s license presented on the counter.
For all reservations from prepayment, no matter the time of cancellation, the 3% of the rent cost will be charged corresponding the necessary comission to generate the refund.
This policy will be valid in cases where the client does not fulfill the rental requirements previously accepted at the moment of making a reservation by any of our channels.
If the cancellation is because of an attributable reason to Alamo México, the refund to the client will be fully made.
** In case of not cancelling your reservation or not doing so in the 12 hours before the reservation, the 100% of the payment will be charged to your credit card, corresponding to the time and mileage.
The time to make the reimbursement will depend on the established times of the selected bank by the client to cover the payment. For reimbursements where the payment has been made by paying in several monthly exhibition, Alamo will not be responsible for the cancellation of the recurring charges, in which case the client must perform the corresponding management with his bank.

SPECIAL POLICY COVID-19
To all our customers
At Alamo Rent a Car Mexico the safety of our customers will always be our most valuable asset. For this reason, and understanding the situation that exists worldwide with the COVID - 19 pandemic, we have taken the step of adjusting our Cancellation and Refund Policies as follows:
- All those customers who have a trip scheduled during the months of March and April and are forced to suspend their trip will not have any penalty for cancellation at the time of managing its reimbursement, the only charge to be considered is 5% of the total reservation, which corresponds to the amount of the commission for use of the payment platform, as this percentage is outside Alamo. This measure will be in effect during the period March - April 2020 and will be subject to change without notice.
