1. The Cathedral of San Ildefonso, is considered the oldest in America built on land, Renaissance, Mannerist, and Herrera style. On the facade is the central door or “Puerta del Perdón”, flanked by the sculptures of San Pedro and San Pablo. Inside, there is the wooden Christ known as the Christ of Unity, almost 8 meters long, carved from birch wood and placed on a 12-meter mahogany cross.
2. Since 1965, the Parque de Santa Lucía has been visited by the serenade, where every Thursday at 9 p.m. it sets the place with Yucatecan music and dance, and on Tuesdays, with jazz music. In 2013 it was renovated and opened with shops and very good restaurants.
3. The Great Museum of the Mayan World of Mérida is housed in an impressive architectural structure inspired by the ceiba tree. The museum, dedicated to the most important cultural influence of the Mayan culture, houses around 1,000 important archaeological pieces.
4. The Archaeological Zone of Chichen Itza is considered the most outstanding Mayan pre-Hispanic city, when the Spanish arrived it was the most revered center of worship and pilgrimage in the Yucatan Peninsula. Even today it is still a sacred center for the Maya. We recommend that you visit this tourist place with a guide, since the territory and information are vast.
5. One more stop on the Puuc Route, it is undoubtedly the tourist place of Uxmal, which has several buildings surrounded by spectacular nature. The most outstanding of these is the Casa del Adivino with 35 meters high, also El Convento that is likely to have been used as a school for healers, astrologers and priests.

6. Discover the Museo de Arte Popular de Yucatán, which strengthens the knowledge of artisanal culture and preserves the cultural heritage of Yucatecan artisans. Currently this tourist place has 6 exhibition halls.
7. Tour the Sunday tianguis established in the streets of the Center of Merida, which turns the whole quadrant, throughout the day, into a tourist place, a pedestrian party. Cultural and musical shows are held in the main square.
8. Walk through the Santa Ana Market, famous for the unique flavor that the tenants offer to visitors. You can taste the classic appetizers of Yucatecan cuisine: panuchos, lime soup, salbutes, papadzules and pibil and suckling cakes.
9. Have fun at La Negrita, an old and renovated bar with almost 100 years of history. One of the most traditional tourist places, since it was the first canteen that opened in Mérida in 1917. Today, you can hear a good Cuban son or a good bachata, while enjoying a local craft beer or a mezcal.
10. Enjoy Celestún, ideal if you like to enjoy nature, you can visit its different springs: Baldiosera for swimming and diving, Cambay which is an eye of fresh water, Drum where you will see the most pink flamingos in the world. You can also visit the Tampetén and Punta Ninum petrified forests.
